Local melodic metal band Aonia (Retford/Worksop/Doncaster based) have been confirmed to support the American hard rock band Warrior Soul on the Sheffield leg of their international tour-7/10/12 at 7:00pm.
Warrior Soul have been playing together off and on since 1987 and have garnered praise from all corners of the rock and metal world – most notably from Lars Ulrich of Metallica, who cites the band’s album “The Space Age Playboys” as his favourite album.
Locals Aonia are known for their operatic vocals juxtaposed with heavy, driving guitars and fantasy-esque lyrics.

She has also successfully completed Round 1 of BBC’s ‘The Voice’ and is awaiting notification from the panel to see if she has been successful to pass on to round 3. Mel is excited to play with Warrior Soul because “they’re a band who are so well established and so dedicated to metal.”

Bassist Gary Solomon is
“Looking forward to playing in front of a load of fellow metalheads!”.
